Oral Hygiene

There are two very important aspects to maintaining your oral hygiene:

 

  • The correct technique
    • Soft toothbrush
    • 45 degree angle to gums
    • Circular and/or jiggling motion
    • Don’t forget the chewing sides

 

  • Time
    • 2-3 times daily
    • 2-3 minutes each time

 

Hint: you will brush longer if you move away from the mirror. Perhaps do a simple odd job with your free hand.

Its is also strongly advised not to brush for 30minutes after eating acidic food, as this will cause loss of enamel resulting in abrasions/erosion lesions.
